Are You Planning Your 2020 Home Landscaping?

If you are already thinking of your home landscaping for 2020, that more than likely means that you love to garden. Maybe you are sad that summer is coming to a close and that you'll soon lose many of the plants you grew to love this summer.

Do you already have a plan for your 2020 landscaping? If so, maybe you are already placing orders for things like statuary. On the other hand, maybe you are in the beginning stages of planning your landscaping. If that's the case, from making an assessment of this year's garden to arranging for artificial turf installation, here are some ideas that might be a help to you.

Make An Assessment Now

Think of taking the time to carefully assess your present landscape. For example, maybe the roses you planted in pots performed so well that you'll want to add new potted rose plants next spring. Write that down. On the other hand, maybe the petunias you planted were a disappointment. If you think they'll do better in a different part of your yard, make a note of that, too. Perhaps you tried to buy geraniums in July, only to find that they were no longer available. Make a note on your 2020 calendar to buy geraniums in the spring or as soon as they are available.

Keep your notes in a place where you can study them before spring of 2020.  Those notes might be very handy as you plan next year's gardens. And, think of adding actual photographs of the parts of your garden that you especially liked. That way, you can duplicate that area next year.

Arrange For Artificial Turf Installation

Part of your assessment might be related to the amount of time you spent on your landscaping. For instance, maybe you estimated the amount of time that went into watering your grass. Perhaps even after you watered consistently, you could never get it to green up the way you wanted it to. Plus, when your water bill arrived each month, maybe you were concerned about the amount of water you used on your grass.

Have you thought of arranging for artificial turf installation? While it might seem like an extravagance, you might be very pleasantly surprised that the artificial turf is a lot more affordable than you thought it would be. And, remember, your water bill will probably be reduced greatly. More than anything, though, you'll have a gorgeous green lawn all year, and you won't even have to work on keeping it that way.
